About us
• LUMED was founded in the early 90’s. Primarily deals with the marketing
of diagramm papers for both medical and industrial equipments
• 1995 - LUMED begins selling in Italy disposable and single use medical
devices (electrodes for ECG, neutral plate and pencil for surgical device,
US- and ECG-gel) in Italy
• 1997 - It is one of the first Italian company to get Quality System in
conformity with ISO 9002:1994 July '97 with notify body CERTIQUALITY
• 2000 - thanks to the presence of new partners, LUMED takes advantage
of the expertise in electromedical devices, acquired during decades of activity.
After this LUMED marked several milestones:
- Relevant increase of consumables and accessories range
- Buy-out of domestic manufacturer of papers for medical devices
- Design and production of disposables for pulmonary diagnostic
- Certification of product as Class I and Class IIa, according to CEE 93/42 Directive
- Certification of the Quality Assurance System according UNI EN ISO 13485:2004
and UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 with notify body CERMET
• 2004 - LUMED acquires the company applic@re srl, that trades with
exclusive basis for Italy the companies custo med GmbH and daum electronic GmbH,
o custo med GmbH: headquartered in Ottobrunn, Bavaria, for many years now,
has been one of the leading suppliers of cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
The company has established itself as a market leader in Germany, for
example with computer-aided diagnosis systems, leaving considerably
behind its competitors. The name custo stands for innovation,
quality and reliability, also on an international basis.
With the medical operating system custo diagnostic custo med is the
only company worldwide to offer a unified platform for all cardiopulmonary
examinations, they are integrated into a network and they have a unified user interface.
o daum electronic GmbH: headquartered in Fürth, Bavaria, it is active at the
international level and manufactures ergometer bikes, ergometer ellipse trainers
and ergometer treadmills with a unequalled design in terms of functionality
and ergonomics. Today daum electronic is a leading manufacturer of ergometers
with more than 200,000 units sold worldwide including a wide range of certified medical equipment
• 2006 - a collaboration is established with the Center Cardiologico Monzino located
in Milan in order to manage an innovative service for the domiciliary cardiological
rehabilitation in Milan and the province. (Regional plan for the Cardiology)
• 2007 and 2008 - they started new relationships of collaboration with manufacturing of
medical devices for the routine diagnostic (electrocardiographs, pulsoximeters)
• 2008 - LUMED acquires its long term thermal papers supplier FIDIM srl. FIDIMTM
becomes the trade mark that nowadays identifies the internal production of LUMED
which includes thermal paper for medical devices, mouthpieces, filter
and other disposables for spirometry, electrodes and cable for ECG
• 2009 - LUMED becomes the exclusive distributor in Italy of
CORTEX Biophysik GmbH and TNI Medical AG,
o CORTEX Biophysik GmbH: headquartered in Leipzig, Germany, is a pioneer in
Metabolic Testing. CORTEX is an innovative manufacturer
of cardio-diagnostic medical equipment. Major product
family are mobile/portable stationary CPX systems
and recently a new testing system especially designed for
health, fitness & athletic clubs. CORTEX products are
successfully used by healthcare professionals working
in sports medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, occupational and
rehabilitation medicine as well as trainers and sports scientists,
o TNI Medical AG: headquartered in Freiburg, Germany, develops, produces, and sells diagnostic
and therapeutic devices for breathing therapy, primarily used for home treatments,
especially during sleep. With its newly introduced TNI® breathing therapy,
TNI medical AG focuses on maximizing patient comfort with simultaneous
simplification of the application. The company was founded in August 2007
as spin-off of seleon gmbh, an internationally top-ranking technological firm
for mechanical breathing therapies
